This Semester!

This semester, I learned a lot of new things that you can do on the computer. Some things that I liked learning how to do were the Mixbook project, the movie maker project, and the picture powerpoint project. Some things that I didn't like doing were the research project and typing web. My overall favorite project was Mixbook. I like being creative and taking pictures, so I really enjoyed that project. The lyrics video was probably my second favorite project. I liked this project because you could listen to music, and learn something at the same time. This has been a really fun semester! I'm glad that I took this class this year! I have had a lot of fun in this class.

Me and Brittany are going to make matching pants! We got the idea from the girls basketball team because they all got matching Festus pants! They look really cool! Me and Britt are going to each get a pair of black pants and hers are going to say Schumer and mine are going to say Uding! They are going to be so cool! Were going to wear them all the time.

Seven Doors!

I found myself in front of seven identical doors. I had no idea which one to use. I heard a voice say, "These seven doors lead to seven places: Narnia, Netherlands, Wonderland, Hogwarts, Camelot, Middle Earth, and Westeros. I decided to take the door to Wonderland. When I opened the door, it was a winter wonderland. There was tons of snow everywhere! It was so cool! I even met Frosty the Snowman! He was really nice! I had so much fun in wonderland.

Choir!

Today Concert Choir is going on a trip. We're going to a nursing home to sing for the old people! It's going to be so much fun! We are going to sing a couple songs as Concert Choir, then our paws class is going to sing Christmas carols. After we sing, we are going to eat at McDonald's! I can't wait! We get to miss 5th hour which is algebra. I'm so happy because that's my least favorite class. The only bad thing about going on choir trips is that we have to wear the worst uniforms ever. They are black collar shirts and khakis. They look horrible! Choir trips are so fun though! Last Friday for choir we went to UMSL to sing for the college students. It was the best day ever!

Guns!

I think that the thing that even though guns are dangerous and people sometimes use them the wrong way, we should still have the right to own guns. If people couldn't own guns we wouldn't be able to defend ourselves. Even if the football player didn't have a gun, he still could've killed his girlfriend and himself. I don't think that taking away guns will solve this problem because there are other ways to be violent. If he didn't have a gun and he really wanted to kill his girlfriend and himself, he would've found a way. This is why I think that taking away our guns won't help our country at all. Guns can be used the wrong way, and many times they are, but they can also be used the right way. They shouldn't be taken away from people who use them the right way just because some people abuse the right to own guns.

Ross and His Brother

Ross and his brother are so cool! They both ride my bus. Ross is hilarious and his brother has awesome hair! It's an afro! His brothers name is Blake. Every time Blake gets on the bus, I say,"Hi Ross's brother." He usually look at me like I'm crazy but that's okay. Ross is wearing a Mizzou hoodie today. He also has neon yellow shoes. They're amazing! Ross is my best friend. He is so funny! When we're on the bus he always raps. He also always plays a game on Tyler's phone and yells really loud whenever he dies. It's so funny! Ross is moving soon and won't be riding my bus anymore. My bus will be very quiet and boring without my best friend, Ross and his Brother, Blake.

Thanksgiving

For my first Thanksgiving as host, I bought the biggest turkey they had in the store. When everyone arrived we decided we would cook the turkey. We put the turkey in to cook, and set the timer. We were all starving and wondering what was taking the turkey so long to cook. Turns out that someone set the timer way longer than it needed to be set! Our turkey was burnt! What were we going to do? The day was half over and we had no turkey! We didn't have time to cook another one, so I was looking through the fridge to see what other food we had. The only thing that I could find that would feed everybody was hamburgers. We put the hamburgers on the grill to cook, and waited for them to be ready. As the burgers were cooking, The grill burst into flames and burnt all the hamburgers. Everyone was starving and I didn't know what to do. We all decided to just eat the burnt burgers instead of being hungry. That's why we all hate hamburgers.

Day off School

I deserve a day off of school because I like to sleep. Sleeping is really fun and school is really boring! Students should be able to take random days off of school like adults do at work. Some days at school we don't learn anything and it would be nice the have a day off every once in a while. School is so boring and it seems like it lasts forever. I deserve a day off of school because I don't like gym class. Gym is the worst part of my entire day. People should get to choose if they want to do gym or not. Life just isn't fair.

Video Games!

People use the word addiction very lightly. For example, she's addicted to food or he's addicted to television. Addiction however can be very serious. If someone is addicted to drugs, they could harm themselves very easily. Being addicted to video games is not the worst addiction in the world, but it still isn't good for you. If you sit around all day staring at a screen you're putting your health in danger. People need a certain amount of physical activity to stay healthy. Instead of going outside and staying active, kids are inside playing video games. This is definitely not good for your health. Playing  video games isn't a bad thing, but when it becomes an addiction it can be bad. People can play games, but they shouldn't spend all day playing them.

My Best Friend Ross

Ross is my bff. We're best friends forever. He is so cool! Me and Ross both ran cross country this year. He was really good! He always got really good places at the meets! He always ran his hardest and it paid off! Ross is so awesome. Words can't describe how awesome he is. He's really funny and a lot of fun to be around! Ross is so fun to have in class because he is always telling jokes. Me and Ross ride the same bus. One time I gave him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Oh, good times. Ross also plays basketball! I think he should've made the team this year, but there's always next year! Me and Ross will always be best friends.

Moe is Awesome!

Moe is so awesome! She's good at everything! She made the basketball team this year! Moe isn't only good at basketball though. Last year during track she was like in beast mode! She ran so fast! Moe is sitting by me right now and she is wearing really cool blue shoes! Shes wearing a bright green headband too!  She's very colorful! Her hair is in a bun, and she's just plain awesome. Words can't describe how awesome she is. One time I was at the mall and I saw her there! She was dress shopping with her cousin! Moe is wearing a white rubber bracelet that says cougars. Me and her have first and second hour together! Our second hour is gym and it's no fun at all! Moe is so fun to be around. She's always making jokes and being funny! She's awesome.

Halloween

Last night for Halloween I was a fairy! I went trick-or-treating with a group of my friends. We went around my subdivision and got tons of candy! It was so fun! It was also really cold! By the time we were done my feet hurt so bad and my hands were numb. We walked around the whole subdivision which is about a mile long. I was so tired after! Me and Ryley were both fairies! We had sparkly wings and tutus! It was fun but I was freezing the whole time! I got lots of candy though so it was worth it.

Train Tracks!

Train tracks remind me of the time my family went for a hike. We started walking around our subdivision, and then we decided to go through the woods. We hiked through the woods for a while until we came to train tracks. After we saw the train tracks we walked on them for a while. As we were walking we heard a train so we quickly jumped off the tracks to get out of the way. We stood and watched as the train passed, and then we continued our hike on the train tracks. It was really fun! We picked up cool rocks along the way as well as old nail spikes that had come out of the tracks. I normally don't like hiking, but this was fun! After we had walked for a while we saw a huge house on a hill. It looked like a castle! By the time we were done walking we had walked about 6 miles on the train tracks! My legs were so sore!

Cross Country

Cross country is finally over! Even though I had some fun times during the season, it just wasn't the best season. Our team had so many people on it that someone was always getting us in trouble. I medaled at every race that I ran except for the Jefferson R-7 meet. I missed the medal by one place! Our last meet was last Saturday at Herculaneum. I got 9th place! My favorite meet was the Potosi meet. It was really cold that day, but it's my favorite meet. It was 1.9 miles, but it goes by really fast. At Potosi I got 15th place. At our conference this year we got 3rd place. We were beat by Herculaneum and Potosi.

Off to Jail

We have just been caught. We did it for a good reason though. Our parents will be so disappointed, but it's not how it looks. We're off to jail now but our parents will bail us out, hopefully. When my parents came to help us, we knew we needed to explain why we did it. It all started when we heard that someone from our school was going to break in to steal the one of a kind, very valuable lottery ticket. We knew we had to stop them or something terrible would happen. We went to the gas station last night to see if anyone had broke in yet or if the ticket was missing. Nothing had been touched. We decided that the only way to save the lottery ticket was to break in and steal it and give it to the manager before anything happened to it. It was a good thing that we broke in when we did because as we were taken off to jail we saw the others on there was to the gas station.

1st Quarter

This quarter in technology I have learned a lot. There was a lot of stuff that I already knew, but I also learned some things. Yesterday I learned how to do formulas on a spreadsheet. This quarter I also learned a lot when we did our research project. I learned how to do different things to change the layout of the paper. I have enjoyed this quarter. The thing I liked the most about this quarter was doing the city or state project. Since I've been in this class I have been able to type a lot faster and I have a lot better understanding of computers!

My Purple Goldfish

Once upon a time, I bought a goldfish. It died two days later. It was purple. My purple goldfish was smelly. His name was Sacajawea. Sacajawea ate the other fish that were in the tank, so now I have no fish. It's pretty depressing. I just have an empty goldfish bowl. I think I'll go buy another purple goldfish after school that way the fish bowl isn't empty. I'll name my new goldfish Sacajawea II.

Sleeping Beauty Gets Eaten By Her Prince

Once upon a time there was a princess named Aurora. She lived in a house with a pink fairy and a blue fairy. One day she touched the pin on the spinning wheel and fell into a deep sleep. There was only one way for her to wake up and it was to be kissed by a prince. All she had to do was wait for the prince to wake her from her sleep. The pink and blue fairy tried to find the prince so that Aurora could wake up, however, the fairies didn't know that the prince was half werewolf. At night the prince would turn into a werewolf and during the day he would be the prince. The fairies found the prince at night and brought him to Aurora. He leaned down to kiss her so that she would wake up, but as he leaned down he turned into a werewolf. He couldn't help himself and he was so hungry that he ate Aurora.

Mrs. Debolt

Mrs. Debolt is the best technology teacher in the whole world. She teaches us so much about computers! If she wasn't the technology teacher I wouldn't have signed up to take technology this year. I am horrible with computers so it's a good thing she knows what she's doing! Mrs. Debolt is amazing. I've learned so much about computers that I didn't already know. She isn't only a great teacher, she is also a great person! She's really nice and fun to talk to! She drinks coffee almost every morning! Today she is wearing a white shirt with black diamonds on it. I am writing about how good of a teacher Mrs. Debolt is because my life is so boring and I have nothing else to write about. I love Mrs. Debolt!

Robbers

The robbers took everything. Well almost everything. They left one thing, a lamp. I'm not sure why but they obviously didn't want it. Why would they take something like toilet paper but not a lamp? I wasn't home when they broke in, but when I got there everything was torn apart or missing. I had only been gone for an hour or so but they had done a lot of damage in an hour. I went to look around my house and see what else was missing and what was still there. I didn't find anything except the lamp. "Why the lamp?" I kept asking myself.

Brittany is Awesome

Brittany is so cool. She is awesome too! Britt is the best cheerleader in the entire world. She is very loud and obnoxious which makes her an amazing cheerleader. She is super nice and fun to talk to. I love Brittany so much. Brittany has brown hair and brown eyes. She is also very short. Brittany is one of the coolest people in the world! She's a great friend! I am sitting next to Brittany because she is just so awesome. Sometimes she's so awesome that I can't be around her because I'm not awesome enough. It's very hard to be as awesome as Brittany.

That's weird thought Cupid. I've never hit the wrong person like that before. It all started when I was doing my job, sitting on top of a building shooting people with love arrows. Then as I was about to shoot, a bird randomly fell out of the sky above me. As I let go of the arrow, the bird almost knocked me over! I quickly sat back up and looked down at the arrow. It hit the wrong person! This was the first time this has ever happened to me. I didn't know what to do! Now the person I hit with the arrow would fall in love with the wrong person! I had to fix this, but I had no idea what to do.

Cross Country Meets

The first cross country meet that I ran at was the Bowels Invitational. I also ran at St. Gen on Tuesday. I medaled at both! At Bowels I got 17th place and at St. Gen I got 19th place. St. Gen is one of the hardest meets all season because there is about 9 really steep hills. The next meet that I get to run at is next Tuesday at Hillsboro. The Hillsboro course is really fun, but it is also very crowded because we start our race right after the boys, so we are all running together. Last year at Hillsboro I got 17th place, this year I want to get in the top 15. I can't wait to run on Tuesday!

Tape Measure

When I see the picture of the tape measure I think about sewing. When we were in F.A.C.S last year we had to measure out fabric in order to get the right amount for our pillow. We measured out tons of little squares and sewed them together. Using a tape measure when sewing is really important because you need to make sure that everything is the same size. If you don't make sure that everything is the same size, your pillow or whatever you are sewing won't end up looking very nice.

Bowels Meet

This Saturday is the Bowels meet! It is the first cross country meet that I get to run. This meet is fun because it is our home meet so we know the course very well. I am really excited that I get to run but I am also very nervous. Running is fun, but I hate going to meets because I get very nervous before the race. After the race is over I always feel like I accomplished something. Last year at the Bowels meet I got 17th place out of over one-hundred people. This year I really want to get in the top 15.

Memories

If I could bottle up any memory that I wanted to, The memory that I would bottle up would be the time I went to church camp. At church camp me and my best friend had a great time! We made a lot of new friends and become closer friends! At church camp we did tons of fun stuff. We had a two-hundred foot slip in slide, played capture the flag in the dark and afterwards had to jump in the pool to make sure that any oils from poison ivy weren't on our skin. It was the best week all summer! I will never forget the great times me and my best friend had at camp.

Cross Country

Cross country is the best sport in the world! The first cross country meet is this Saturday at Forest Park. Forest Park is one of the biggest meets all season. The first meet that I get to run in is Bowels. Bowels is the second meet and it's our only home meet. The course is at West City Park and it's about 1.7 miles. Running cross country is fun because you get to run with your friends. Being part of a team is a really good feeling because the whole team is like one giant family. I love running cross country!

Labor Day

 Labor Day is always the first Monday of September. The first Labor Day was September 5, 1882. No one is sure of who founded the holiday, but most think it was either Peter McGuire or Matthew McGuire. The holiday is dedicated to American workers. It is a yearly holiday to appreciate the hard work of American citizens. Read more here.

Hello, my name is Lily. I like to run cross country. My favorite class is Algebra. When I get older I want to be a teacher. My favorite color is purple.

On the computers I like to use Facebook and other social sites. Something else that I enjoy doing on the computer is painting. Painting is fun because you can make whatever you want. Youtube is also fun to use because you can listen to music and watch videos. Using the computers is fun because if you need to know something you can just research it.

Things I'm interested in and want to learn on the computers is about the past. I think learning about the past is cool because you can find out how it was back then compared to now. I like learning about how people first came to America. It's interesting to find out how this country was started. Learning about the past would be the thing I'm most interested in learning about.

Please Help

" I know I have caused you a lot of grief, but there's something I need that only you can do for me. Don't tell anyone about this." I need you to get me out of jail. You're the only one that can do this for me because all my other "friends" wont help me, and I can't ask my parents to. They would be devastated If they found out I went to prison. Please help.

I think that killing most of the girls should be stopped. It isn't fair. Girls and women shouldn't be treated that way. If girls and women keep getting aborted and killed, the men will have no one to marry. If the men dont get married, there is no way to reproduce. I think that the people of India shouldn't be able to find out if they are having a boy or a girl because when they find out they are having a girl, they want to have her aborted. Having the baby aborted isn't fair. I think that they should have the baby, and if they really don't want her, they should at least give her to the orphanage. At least at the orphanage gives them a chance at life. I think that giving the girls a chance to live is better than having thejm aborted or killed before birth. The killing of girls and women should be stopped.
